Our lower engine guard in carbon for the R 1250 GS has been pulled up a little in the front area and the shape has been enlarged to ensure better protection against dirt and stone chips. You can find a comparison photo to the original lower engine guard in the photo selection above. The lower engine guard in Carbon for the BMW R 1250 GS replaces the original component using the original attachment points. The main focus is on weight savings (usually a saving of around 70% compared to the original component) and greater rigidity.

SUMP GUARD / UNDERTRAY BMW R 1250 GS
Our sumpguard / undertray in carbon for the BMW R 1250 GS from 2019 is modified for better protection against dirt and rockfall.
This part is a direct replacement for the original component and contributes mainly to weight saving on the motorcycle (up to 70% less) and a higher stiffness of the parts. Like all of our carbon fiber parts, it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current 'best of industry' practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fiber materials using an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts, we use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance, but also protects the carbon fiber from scratching and has a unique UV resistance.
