The very attractive rear wheel cover for the R 1200 GS (LC) is screwed to the cardan housing of the vehicle using 3 screws. This screw connection is so ingenious and simple that it has been confirmed and protected by the German Patent Office.

This cover fits the LC models from 2018!

The special shape of the rear wheel cover significantly reduces the amount of dirt on the motorcycle caused by the rear wheel. The shape of the cover is selected for each model so that standard chassis or tire variants are taken into account. The carbon part was manufactured in an autoclave in accordance with the latest guidelines completely from prepreg (see FAQ) material and in the next step, as is our usual practice, covered with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating surpasses the usual clear varnish coating in terms of protection, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores points technically, it also clearly underlines the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.

This rear Mudgard fits the R 1200 GS (LC) models from 2018!

This part is a direct replacement for the original component and contributes mainly to weight saving on the motorcycle (up to 70% less) and a higher stiffness of the parts. Like all of our carbon fiber parts, it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current 'best of industry' practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fiber materials using an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts, we use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance, but also protects the carbon fiber from scratching and has a unique UV resistance.
