Our carbon hand protectors for the BMW F 800 GS Adventure (2013-current) / R 1200 GS (LC) (2013-current) / R 1200 GS Adventure (LC) (2013-current) offer significantly increased protection against cold and rainwater, but thanks to a cleverly chosen design, the hand protectors do not appear significantly larger than the original part and fit perfectly into the overall image of the R 1200 GS.

The carbon hand protectors for the BMW F 800 GS Adventure (2013-current) / R 1200 GS (LC) (2013-current) / R 1200 GS Adventure (LC) (2013-current) replace the original component using the original attachment points. The main focus is on weight savings (usually a saving of around 70% compared to the original component) and greater rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured in an autoclave in accordance with the latest guidelines completely from prepreg (see FAQ) material and in the next step, as is our usual practice, covered with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating surpasses the usual clear varnish coating in terms of protection, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores points technically, it also clearly underlines the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.

This part is a direct replacement for the original component and contributes mainly to weight saving on the motorcycle (up to 70% less) and a higher stiffness of the parts. Like all of our carbon fiber parts, it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current 'best of industry' practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fiber materials using an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts, we use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance, but also protects the carbon fiber from scratching and has a unique UV resistance.
