Conditions of Use/Return Policy


While every effort has been made to ensure that products sold by Shift-Tech are designed and manufactured to the highest possible quality standards, Shift-Tech cannot assume responsibility for property damage or personal injury incurred by or concurrent with the use of the products, even if such damage or injury is the direct result of the failure of the product sold by Shift-Tech. So in basic English this means that if a part that Shift-Tech has sold, fails for whatever reason and it damages your motorcycle or causes any other damages then Shift-Tech is not responsible or liable for the damages as Shift-Tech is just a retailer or an aftermarket product. Shift-Tech will be assisting you with contacting the manufacturer directly if this is needed. All descriptions given on this site as to function are for reference only and are not guaranteed. Shift-Tech cannot assume responsibility for personal injury, damage to the vehicle, labor or other injury arising out of the use of any product manufactured or sold. Shift-Tech shall not,under any circumstances, be liable for any, incidental or consequential damages including but not limited to damages or loss of life, health, goods or claims of customers of the purchaser with may arise and or result from the sale, installation or use of these products. Any information provided by Shift-Tech via website, phone, fax, e-mail or printed or any other form of installation instructions, is only for non-authoritative references and is not a substitute for the services of a professional, certified mechanic. By purchasing, using or installing any products from Shift-Tech and by agreeing to the T&C in your order section, the purchaser agrees to all of these terms.


Shift-Tech assumes individuals performing the installation of its products to be certified professional motorcycle maintenance technicians or qualified race mechanics, who can make the correct decision and adjustments which may be necessary in the installation process, and which cannot be anticipated by the product manufacturer or Shift-Tech in advance, in order that the installation is a safe and proper one. Shift-Tech assumes no responsibility for damage or personal injury which may be caused by the manner in which products sold are installed. If you use products sold by Shift-Tech, you use them at your own risk. We want you to be healthy, to ride safely, and enjoy a long lifetime of motorcycling. Please do not use any product if you are uncertain of your ability to properly install it.

Issues caused by improper installation or modifications, exposure to chemicals, improper care, or lack of maintenance are not covered under any manufacturer warranty. Due to the nature of high performance products, it is not possible nor does this limited warranty cover or guarantee the performance of any product. Any defective exhaust system will be repaired or replaced by Shift-Tech once the item(s) are returned and found to be defective. Shift-Tech Products is not responsible for any other expenses incurred by the customer under this limited warranty. Shift-Tech reserves the right to determine whether the conditions of this warranty have been met, and is the sole party in determining whether this warranty is void due to improper installation or care. The duration of any implied warranties are limited to the duration of the express warranty.


Credit card fraud:

Credit card abuse or fraud is taken very seriously and any fraud attempts will be reported to credit card companies and relevant authorities: the FBI, Local PD, and the law enforcement agency for the address provided with any order. Your IP address and a date/time stamp are logged with your order and will assist any ensuing investigations.


Shipping within the USA:
Shift-Tech uses USPS with delivery confirmation for all shipments unless you will be notified otherwise. UPS Ground depending on size & weight of the item ordered.

Shipments must be sent to a verified USPS address. Shift-Tech will not assume liability for shipments to Non-Verified USPS addresses.. We do NOT offer insurance unless it is requested by the customer and mentioned in the checkout. Delivery confirmation from USPS is the shipper's and the shippee's notification that the package has arrived. Furthermore, USPS confirmation of delivery is a bona fine confirmation of delivery. If you specified shipment to an address other than your billing address, I suggest you let someone know the package is arriving. Again, if the tracking # shows up as delivered, it was, in fact, delivered. USPS has NEVER missed delivering one of my packages. Should you wish signature confirmation, you must specify that ahead of time.

Returns and order cancellation

Returns happen, it is a fact of life. This section is to ensure that as a customer, you will receive the best possible service from Shift-Tech. The paragraphs below are to make sure that customers' expectations match those of Shift-Tech. When you buy a product and wish to return it, this product MUST be returned in such a way so that it can then be re-sold to another customer. Your new product is YOURS, not someone's rejects. This is how the NEXT customer needs to feel about the product YOU return. All dealer sales are final, no returns or cancellation.

Perhaps there is a quality issue with the item you received. Before contacting your credit card company, read and understand the below information and understand that these terms are binding. Sometimes, the quality of the product you received is "acceptable" to industry standards and it is your expectation which is too high. This is rare with Shift-Tech products but does not grant customers the right to render the product in non-selling condition before returning it. More about defective / quality issues in its own section below.

Special order items are not returnable, any issues with fit/finish/function have to be settled with the manufacturer directly.

Not so fine print
The conditions set forth in this section came to be required because not everyone understands how business and credit card accounts work. Please understand that Shift-Tech's main goal is for customers to buy good product and be happy with their experience.

No part, once used, may be returned. For items where the item was shipped "free" actual shipping cost incurred by us will be deducted in addition to the restocking fee. Returns are accepted for unused products in original, re-sell able condition only within 7 days of receiving it - no bolt impressions from installation or evidence of actual use. All original retail packaging must be intact. The item must be returned in the exact condition as received or there will be no refund. Customer is responsible for return shipping of denied returns. Returns must be pre-approved. A restocking fee of 15% will be charged for canceled orders of any out of stock product that has not been shipped yet or any return of a product that has been shipped or has been received. If you receive a product and render it Unsellable or return it in Unsellable condition, there cannot be a refund. Shipping charges are not refundable, if you received free shipping then the actual initial shipping cost will be deducted from your refund amount as well.



Time frame of the credit
Returns and credits are infrequent enough that there is not yet a set process for handling the review of returned product and then for processing the credits. Once a returned item has been delivered, please allow 7-10 days for Shift-Tech to act. If a month passes, now is the time to start bugging the friendly but sometimes overworked company owner to make sure the credit is posted to your card.

Credit card companies
Should you as a customer initiate "charge back" proceedings, you must return the goods in new and resale ready condition. Failure to do so means that you are attempting to either retain Shift-Tech's property without paying for it OR an attempt is being made to use Shift-Tech's merchandise without payment and suit will be filed in small claims court and/or a police investigation for theft will be initiated. Once your charge back request has been overturned, there is $5 per page document fee for any paperwork generated by Shift-Tech in the defense of your action. This is chargeable to your credit card, consented to upon placing any order with Shift-Tech.
